At Ade + Ayo we love the look of wonder and excitement on children's (and adults') faces when they hear a great book being read! We also know how important reading is for our children - it grows their vocabulary, empathy for others and love of learning. Books are such a great opportunity to introduce our little ones to diverse stories, authors and characters.

Through Culture Meets Reading, we'll showcase books we think you and your children will love, with an eye toward stories by and about Africans and those in the African diaspora. Where possible, we've included links to videos of the books being read aloud. We'll keep adding to this list, so please email us at hello@adeandayo.com if you'd like to see your favorite book added to the list!

Join us as we learn about different cultures through reading!
